A family in the desert of Rajasthan
Amazing 45 days! In the first 30 days I did the 200hours yoga teacher training. Great course! Well organized and complete! I learned about the practice of Asana, Pranayama, Mudra and Bandha as well as the philosophical and spiritual yogic knowledge. The teachers were very helpful on supporting the students on their walking in becoming a yoga teacher. The family of the Ashram took care of the students in such a sweet way…really.
After that period I decided to spend 2 weeks more there to practice Karma Yoga. And I’m very happy of this, because I had the possibilities to understand deeply the way of living of the people. And I felt myself at home, because everybody helped me to feel in this way! The Ashram is located in an ancient fort in the desert close to a small village. Inside there is the temple in which every evening, Puja (the worship) is celebrated with Chants, Mantra and Kirtan and drums. I love so much this moment of the day!
Every morning at 6.30 there is yoga lesson. Such a wonderful way to start the day!
The Nature is amazing! You can see many species of birds, camels, buffalo, antelopes, peacock,… There are two garden in which you can relax, study or meditate.
The accommodations are very comfortable and clean. There is also a wellness center and they organized Ayurvedic treatments for the students.
Last but not least: the food is great!!! You can have three healthy meals (according to Ayurvedic principles) with fresh vegetables grown in the garden of the Ashram! I learned so much about cooking! I hope to come back to Shri Jasnath Asan very soon because for me is really “home sweet home” and a place of peace.
And if you want to learn the yogic lifestyle way of living, this is the right place for you.
Beautiful Ashram and a great Yoga experience
I did the 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training Course here at the Shri Jasnath Asan Ashram, certified by Yoga Alliance, and highly recommend it to everyone who wants to have a deep and spiritual yoga experience. The Ashram and its family provide a true spiritual space where you can intensely learn about the authentic roots and basics of Hatha Yoga. This course is definitely for people who are looking not only for the physical, but also the philosophical dimension of Yoga. You will have a good knowledge of Asana, Meditation, Pranayama, Mudra and Bandha afterwards. But you will also leave the Ashram with a lot of inspiration and a greater idea of what yoga means in general and that it includes all the aspects of leading a happy and healthy life.
The Ashram is very peaceful and you will be integrated by everyone as a family member. Also the food is very good and is prepared with love and according to the principles of Ayurveda.
I will never forget the time I spent here! Thanks and appreciation to the whole Ashram family!
